West in a day

Kelly and I went out to Stanthorpe for the day, for her birthday, getting up at 3am to make it out there early (it's a 3.5 hour drive from Murwillumbah). It was a cool old town, although it felt like it skipped a beat for an old area. We went to a few op shops, walked the streets in the crisp 6 degree air and ventured out to Girraween National Park to check out the crazy granite country. Finished up there with a slice of Apple pie at Sutton's Farm and headed back to make Dinner at Mavis' Kitchen in Uki, a chill 4.5 hour drive back through the north (Ipswich).
